- This course is intended to let students understand how stretches of language are meaningful and coherent in written and spoken discourse, a primary key to successful communication. To this end, not only does it provide students with the theories of discourse analysis and pragmatics but it also demonstrates their social, practical adequacies by applying them to language teaching and learning.
